The balcony overlooking the Jukskei Valley had a picturesque view and our hosts, the TLC on the Track team, had set up a long table for our Club Members. We were about 20 members in attendance ranging in all ages. The food on offer was served from a harvest table and was a good mix of salads, vegetables and twist on a beloved bobotie. With the sun setting and the cakes brought out, the vibe of the afternoon felt like long since seen family members getting to see each other and catch up on time past. Especially the peppermint caramel chocolate cake, which was a firm favorite. A beautiful and relaxed afternoon to evening event will be held at the TLC again next year after the rave reviews of everyone who attended share.
I can’t thank Mandy Foord enough for adding a special treat of the Land Rover cookies to the décor and nibbles of the table. Personally- I had the best time getting to know some more experienced members on a one-on-one basis – Thank you for making the effort to come and enjoy the sunset and great food in Jo’burg!
