Turnout was good and we setup caravans, trailer and tents in the main camp this year and had some fun and got dirt in our wheels on some of the grade 2 - 3 obstacles in the 4x4 playground.
The Annual LROC Tortoise Run was held on the Saturday and what fun it was. Hennie Steyn and his Defender 130 eventually taking 1st place with Michael Beard in his Dads Discovery 3 on his heels taking 2nd place. Well done to Hennie who took the trophy for the 2nd year running.
The annual Sandwani breakfast run which is held on the Sunday every year was replaced with a trip to Rayton, where we celebrated Land Rover’ 70th birthday with a day filled with fun and competitions. The members who attended kept the LROC name flying high, winning all 3 competitions and taking home some amazing prizes on the day.
But all good things have to come to an end and the embarking back to the hustle and bustle of the city was inevitable. Thank you to all who joined us on this great relaxing weekend. See you all next year.
PS... Someone needs to beat Hennie next year!
Great weekend away... to fellow members free up your weekend next year for this one 😁
