Mike Ilsley presented most of the material supported by Jakob Jordaan, Gerrie Myburgh and myself. Topics ranged from packing your vehicle, using two-way radios and GPS’s to some handy tips on preparing for border crossings. In addition to this we arranged with some LROC members to display 2 Defender 90's, 2 Defender 110's and a Discovery 1 and Discovery 3 to showcase the overlanding kit on their vehicles, this provided participants with several good examples of which accessories are tried and tested for overland travel before going out and buying everything the salesman will throw at you.
The day ended at about 15h30 and was enjoyed by all present. Thanks to those who attended, those who eagerly displayed their vehicles and especially to Mike, Jakob and Gerrie for making themselves available to co-present this module.
