We arrived around 2 o’clock on Friday to find several members already ‘kuiering’. It was the start of an enjoyable weekend.
Friday night was spent in the lapa getting to know some of the new members. On Saturday 11 vehicles went for a drive and made breakfast at Veldjie-rondom-my. We were lucky enough to see rhino’s, buffalo and elephant, as well as numerous buck and other game. Lunch was enjoyed at Arlington Brewery and Cidery.
Dinokeng is a true bush experience, within 1-2 hours from Gauteng, and if you can take off a bit early on Friday (and Monday morning like we did) it is even better. At night the call of jackal emphasized this!
Great weekend, great camp site, great people and great cars. Won't mind doing this one again.
This was a thoroughly enjoyable weekend. Definitely one to be put on the yearly calendar!
