40th Cars in the Park

05 August 2019 - Jonathan Bydendyk
This years POMC’s popular Cars in the Park event turned 40 and LROC was there in good numbers to support. Water Warriors had requested donations of water from all the clubs and as is the spirit of LROC we managed to donate about 50lts in the end.

Land Rover owners always come prepared and although it was a hot day, especially for winter, the awning were out and breakfast was sizzling away on numinous skottles by 8am. The club drew attention as usual, with many visitors spending some time at our stand and enjoying the early Series’ and especially Frik & Anneri Cilliers’ Camel Trophy Defender while chatting to us about membership and their own Land Rover experiences.

All in all it was a great day enjoyed out with friends and fellow Land Rover owners. Cars in the Park never disappoints, see you all there next year again.
