The theme of the obstacles set up by the committee members on Sunday fitted in with the overland training presented on Saturday. Some of the participants had to perform tasks that they have not yet done, but this is all in the spirit of our events in terms of getting to know the capability of yourself and your vehicle. Themes like emergency stops, hitching and towing a trailer, general observation of the environment around you, smooth driving and precise wheel placement were presented by the various committee members. A great thank you to all the committee members for their efforts.
Feedback received from the participants is that they enjoyed the day and definitely learned some new skills. Interestingly a Defender 130 won the long wheel base class.
