We are pleased to announce a truly special year-end celebration hosted by fellow Club member and Series enthusiast John Phalatsi — the Series Xmas Lights Drive, taking place on Saturday, 13 December 2025.
This exclusive event is open to all Series Land Rover owners and invites you to embrace the spirit of Christmas in a unique and memorable way. Owners are encouraged to decorate their Series Land Rovers with festive lights and securely mounted Christmas decorations for an unforgettable convoy through Pretoria.

We will gather at The Village Hazelwood, a lively and upmarket destination, before departing in convoy.

Villa San Giovanni, Wonderboom Airport
John has organised something exceptional for attending members: exclusive parking at Wonderboom Airport, where a professional photoshoot will capture your decorated Series Land Rovers with aircraft and aviation scenery as the backdrop.
For those unfamiliar with Villa San Giovanni:
It is an iconic, family-run Italian restaurant situated on the edge of the runway at Wonderboom Airport. Known for its authentic cuisine and warm hospitality, it offers a unique dining experience with uninterrupted views of aircraft movements. John has arranged a specially reserved dining area for participants to enjoy dinner together after the photoshoot.

To commemorate this unique event, a limited-edition 2025 Series Xmas Lights Drive cap will be available for purchase at R95.00. Caps will be produced to order, so please indicate your required quantity when booking your attendance with Madeleine.

John has already put substantial effort into securing permissions, coordinating arrangements, and shaping an event that promises to be memorable for every Series owner who attends. Opportunities like professional photos on the airport apron, combined with a festive convoy and shared dinner, are rare. This will be an evening that celebrates both the season and the heritage of the Series Land Rover.
