The Rand Hunt Club is delighted to extend a special invitation to members of the LROC to join a Hunt on Sunday, 15 March 2026, at Inanda Country Base.
The Rand Hunt Club runs a drag pack, meaning the hounds follow a pre-laid scent trail. The “line” is created by a mounted rider dragging a cloth soaked in a specially prepared scent — no live hunting takes place, nothing is chased, and nothing is caught.
The LROC convoy will form part of the car followers, travelling along a designated route that offers a unique opportunity to watch the hounds work and to enjoy the action out in the field.
Cost:
- R200 per vehicle (donation), which goes directly toward the care and upkeep of the hounds.
- Optional bring-and-braai after the hunt: fires and side dishes provided by the Rand Hunt at R50 per person.
