The first training module of the year will be about the fundamentals of driving your Land Rover off-road, rather fitting as fundamentals training is the first LROC event you should attend before venturing out into the great unknown. We don’t just cover the basics but also the required knowledge to get you out there in your Landy exploring safely. As always we welcome discussion as to anything you are wondering about when off-roading. The practical section of the training gives a valuable opportunity to practice off-road driving techniques in a safe environment and under the supervision of experienced off roaders.
The driver training session will be ‘Module 1 : Fundamentals of off-road driving’ and will be held on Saturday 18th of January 2020. This module is ideal for new members but also open to all members who just want to brush up on their off-road driving skills or simply get to know their vehicles’ capabilities better. The training will be focused on the theoretical aspects of off-road driving in the morning and there will be an opportunity to practice your skills on obstacles in the afternoon under the competent supervision of the driver trainers. Training will commence at 9am and should finish by no later than 4pm. Please bring a chair, refreshments and light lunch. We kindly request that all attendees make an effort to be punctual for the sake of others attending.
For those wishing to stay over, please bring your camping kit and braai meat for a big social around the bonfire.
The Summer Trial will take place on the Sunday morning and scrutineering will commence at 9am. Please don’t be late and ensure you have the correct items in your vehicle for the trial.
