Recovery training is a must do for all those Land Rover enthusiasts venturing into the unknown or for those of us that enjoy testing our Landys in some arduous conditions. Recoveries can be long, tiresome and at times downright dangerous. We at LROC aim to mitigate all these factors by offering training we feel we have sculpted into a valuable skillset over the years. Recovery training is the ideal opportunity to be able to not only learn how to get out of strife safely but also how to enjoy the experience. It is also a great opportunity for those in the know to come for a quick refresher course in recovery techniques and possibly share some experiences they have had.
Recovery training takes place in the form of a theoretical session that covers most recovery situations. This will include an explanation of all recovery gear and when and how to use it effectively. After the theory section of the course we will take a quick break to grab a bite to eat and stretch our legs. After Lunch the fun really starts when we can start putting some of our skills to the test during the practical element of the training.
Don't forget that the Piesangkloof Mountain Drive is scheduled for the following day. Why not spend the night, enjoy the company of fellow LROC members and have an awesome drive! (Note: The Piesangkloof’s mountain drive will be somewhat technical and is not advisable for complete novices
