Family camping weekend and off-roading.
Feedback from last year’s Mountain Drive, called for another visit to the farm Diepkloof. which offers relaxed scenic mountain drives suitable for all vehicles – weather permitted.
Still don’t forget your recovery gear! We depart at 08:00 on Saturday for the Mountain Drive in convoy. Pack a picnic basket for a lunch break is a good idea. We should be back in camp by 15:30 however you can return to camp at your own pace.
Alternatively you may consider to pay the nearby Loskop Nature Reserve a visit or simply stay in camp and enjoy the facilities available.
Sunday will be spent at your own leisure.
Please be aware that we camp next to the Elephants River and you will have to take protective measures against mosquitoes.
Camping fees will be collected at the venue by the owner on arrival and those for the mountain drive will be collected on departure on Saturday morning.
Except if it is your intention to make a donation, don’t pay your camping fees to the LROC!
A final e-mail will be sent to those whom have booked, with the gate code, etc.
PS: The campsite is on the Western bank of the river and there is another on the Eastern so don’t be misled by your GPS and thus cross the river to the other side. Facilities: Full ablutions, Swimming pool, electricity, ice & wood on sale.
