An AGM with a difference.
Limited space will be available due to COVID-19 Level-1 capacity restrictions imposed by Rietvlei NR so we may only have 100 persons at the venue for the 2021 AGM. Sad, but that’s life for now, and in the event that Level-1 restrictions are lifted we will let members know soonest. So do get your booking in early. Bookings will only be accepted online so head off to our cool website and book you spot.
We are looking into providing a digital linkup to allow those wishing to ‘attend’ digitally. We are still working on this so we’ll provide updated information once finalised.
The AGM starts at 15h00 on Saturday 20 February 2020 so arrive from 14h00 to register and collect your braai packs and find a comfortable spot.
What to bring: The Rietvlei lapa has limited seating so do bring along your own chairs. Braai meat and braai fires will be provided for those attending. Remember to bring along your own braai kit, side dishes and drinks.
Those not able to attend and wishing to participate in voting may do so by means of a Proxy form. We will also be calling for nomination of the Council of Advisors for the first time. Nomination for the Executive Committee open positions can now be done. We look forward to members considering their time and expertise to make a contribution to the Club by serving on the Executive Committee. The Nomination forms, which are at the end of this newsletter, will clarify the criteria and requirements for the respective nominations.
Any member who intends to submit an Item for Discussion at the Annual General Meeting may do so by notice to the Club Secretary, in writing, with a motivation within 7 days of the notice of the Annual General Meeting having been given.
Forms or Items for Discussion need to be emailed to Secretary@lroc.org.za.
Notification of the Agenda and all AGM Documentation will be sent to members in the new year and will be available on the website.
Booking is essential, so please book to avoid disappointment
All members will be asked to fill in an attendance register as required by the Covidlegislation.
