Sat, 26 Aug 2017 9am - Driver Training - Module 3 : Recovery Training
The next driver training will be held during the LROC Night Trial weekend. This module is ideal for all members who want to learn more about the different kinds of recovery equipment and how to correctly handle recovery situations. The training will be focused on the theoretical aspects of recovery in the morning and there will be an opportunity to practice your skills with a real-life recovery situation in the afternoon under the competent supervision of the driver trainers. Training will commence at 9amand should finish by no later than 4pm. You still have time to return home afterwards if not staying over for the night trial.

Please bring a chair, refreshments and light lunch. All trainees will be given an attendance certificate.

If you are interested to attend, please ensure you book in advance with our administrator. This is to enable us to send you some training notes in advance which you need to bring with you on the day.

Sat, 26 Aug 2017 9am - Mountain Drive
We will explore the trail which winds though the river bed in the morning starting at 9am, there are plenty of obstacles to choose from, advanced to relatively easy. After which we will stop off in the shade of the river bed and have lunch, please bring a packed lunch along for this.

After lunch we will drive out to the infamous Koos se Klim where anyone feeling up to task may try their hand at this obstacle or try the bypass route to get to the top and enjoy the incredible views. Than it’s back to camp in time to participate in the annual night trial.

Sat, 26 Aug 2017 5pm - Night Trial
The Night Trial will be hosted at Moegatle on the Saterday evening, starting at sunset. Participants must be ready for scruteneering at 17:00. All participants and those willing to marshall must remember to bring torches/headlamps. The trial will be close to the camping area and Alex and Betsie will have the pub open for us at the end of the trial. Prize giving will take place at the pub area. It is advisable that participants also book to camp for the night of the trial, it is not the best road to drive back to Gauteng late at night. We will have a communal braai afterwards for those interested and coffee will be late on Sunday morning!

Moegatle has chalets, rooms and safari tents also available for bookings. Please contact them directly to book on of these options for the weekend. They have kindly offered a 10% discount to all LROC Members.
